How has your background in healthcare and informatics influenced your UX work?
With a bachelors degree in biology and previous work in health consulting and patient care, I have learned to lead to with empathy, ethics, and data-driven decisions. In UX, I prioritize understanding the root of user problems and backing it up with data.
How do you work on interdiscplinary teams?
On a team of developers, project managers, and more, conversation is key. I translate my insights and decisions through documentation and deliverables that focus on each members' priorities, whether it be technical feasibility or business metric goals.
How are you currently integrating AI into your design workflow?
I believe that AI can be a powerful tool in improving workflow efficiency. I am experimenting with AI applications to automate repetitive tasks, so I can work on the big ideas.
If you weren’t a UX designer or researcher, what would you be doing?
I'd own a bakery and coffee shop serving local favorites in a big city. I love the precise chemistry of baking and coffee brewing while also allowing the freedom to experiment with different taste profiles and visuals.
